NBIAA Regionals set for Sunday

The NBIAA Track and Field Regionals are set to take place this Sunday, May 27th. This meet promises to be an exciting event, showcasing high school talent from across the province.  The Universite de Moncton Stadium will be the venue for the North Eastern Regionals, with Moncton High School as the host.  Saint John High School will host the South Western Regionals at the Canada Games Stadium. Saint John Spring meet Highlights

On Saturday, May 19th, the annual SJTC SJHS spring meet was held at the Canada Games Stadium in Saint John. Erin Vringer, of SJTC, ran a fantastic 1200m in a time of 3:43.65. Shelby MacIsaac, of ASEA, performed strongly in all four of the events in which she competed. MacIsaac won the 100m (12.57) and the 200m (25.51). ASEA Spring Open Recap

This past Saturday, May 12th the annual ASEA Spring Open kicked off New Brunswick’s track and field outdoor season at the Moncton Stadium. Many great performances were recorded in the sunny weather. A few of these great performances are outlined below. Shelby MacIsaac of Riverview had a great weekend, finishing first in all three events.  Athlete of the Month

Athlete of the Month (April 2018): Matt McNeil. Saint John native Matt McNeil made an incredible Boston Marathon debut, placing 51st overall in a time of 2:35:12, despite hurricane-like conditions. In just his second ever marathon, McNeil blew away the expectations and finished 3rd among Canadians.
