Atlantic Championship Highlights

On Saturday, Odell Park in Fredericton was host to the Atlantic Cross Country Championships! It showcased some of the best cross country talent from the Atlantic provinces. The athletes who were 5 and under ran a 500m race, on the girls side Ella Leblanc won in a time of 2:49.90, Eve Landry took second in 2:55.50, and Eva Boone took third in 3:19.80. NBIAA Provincial Champs Recap

It was a cool 4°C for cross country running in Moncton, as Bernice MacNaughton hosted the 2018 NBIAA Provincial Cross Country Championships. Despite the cold temperatures, athletes ran exceptionally well and put on some great races for the spectators. In Jr. Girls 4km action, Erin Vringer of Saint John High School saw the finish line first with a time of 15:02.40, followed by Emily Doucet of M-F Richard, and Madeleine Mcleod of École Sainte-Anne. Youth Cross Country Provincials Recap

This past weekend we held our second annual provincial Youth Cross Country Championships in Moncton. There were over 300 kids aged 13 and under who participated on Saturday. In the 5 and under category the girl's 500m run saw Eve Landry finish first, second was Ella Leblanc and third was Eva Boone.  Athlete of the Month

Athlete of the Month (October 2018): Lee Wesselius. In just his second half-marathon, River Glade native Lee Wesselius made history. Finishing third overall, Wesselius completed the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon with a personal best performance of 1:07:21. This time makes Lee the 3rd fastest man in New Brunswick history, behind only distance greats Réjean Chiasson and Joel Bourgeois.
