2010 THE WORLD IS COMING TO MONCTON - The IAAF has announced today that Moncton will be hosting the 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics. Moncton was bidding for 2008 but the IAAF narrowly gave its vote to Bydgoszcz, Poland. The council then unanimously chose to award the 2010 championships to Moncton. This will be the single largest sporting event ever hosted in Atlantic Canada and no doubt our sport will benefit immensely from this opportunity if we manage to seize it. Alex Stuart has established a new NB Indoor Record in the Midget Men's 60m Hurdles at the Quebec Indoor Championships. Alex's time of 10.97 seconds surpasses the old record of 12.30 seconds set by Simon Tsang in 1994.
