Adam Gaudes competing for Fast Tracks ran an NB junior indoor record in the 300m yesterday at the University of Manitoba Bison Classic.. This time not only a new New Brunswick Indoor Junior record but also the 3rd fastest time in Canada ran by a junior this season. Congradulation Adam!
Also competing was Tommy McGinn who ran a personal best in the 300m with a time of 38.36.

Team NB performs well at McGill Team challenge
This past weekend over 20 NB athletes participated in the 15th McGill team challenge in Montreal. Here are just a few highlights from ANB athletes:
-Nadine Frost (competing for U Guelph ) won the women’s 1000m in a new NB senior record time of 2:51.50.
-Geneviève Lalonde (competing for U Guelph ) also establish a NB junior record in the 3000m placing 2nd in a time of 9:42.95 a time that ranks her 3rd in the country at the CIS level.
-Sarah Myatt ran a new PB in the 600m with a time of 1:40.46
-Sara Miller (competing for U de Moncton) finished 5th in the Triple jump with a leap of 10.99 beating her own university record.
-Kristi Kublik finished 2nd the women’s pentathlon with a score of 3327. A new NB indoor record!
-Richard Ivey had a nice 60m with a time of 7.40.
-Pierre Landry triple jumped 13.90m which would have given him 2nd in the university event.
-Mitch Quigg finished 9th in the men’s pent with a score total of 2834.
-Alex Black a SB of 10.40m in the Wms Shot
- Alex Coholan PB in the 300m
Lydia Frost ran a great 1000m of 2:53.87 that ranks her 3rd in the CIS
Stephanie Doiron jumped a SB of 1.55m in the high jump to place 6th
Elizabeth Macdonald throw a sizeable PB of 13.81m in teh Weigth throw -Jean Marc Doiron (U de Moncton) ran a new personal best in the 600m with a time of 1:22.20 finishing 12th.
-Alex Stuart ran a new pb in the 300m with a time of 37.78.
-Olivier Babineau (U de Moncton) finished 13th in the men’s 1km with a time of 2:35.80
-Matt McNeil ran a very strong 3000m in a time of 9:30.63.
-Dave Brown had a good 1500m race with a time of 4:15.68
-Mike Jacobs and strong performances in the 600m (1:26.33) and in the 1000m (2:35.85)
-The 4x400m team from U de Moncton established a new school record with a time of 3:28.97 . The team members were Mathieu Frenette , Gabriel LeBlanc , Olivier Babineau & Jean Marc Doiron
Please note that this year edition will take place on February 13th in Oromocto. Since this is a provincial championship ALL athletes MUST be members of ANB or another Branch of Athletics Canada Memberships will be available at the Registration Desk prior to the start of the Meet.
Also please note that this event will respect Athletics Canada Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) module and athletesMUST compete in the events in their age group *Athletes cannot move up to other events in older age classes*

NEW EVENTS STRUCTURE
In March 2008 Athletics Canada made the decision to move forward with LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) implementation and it has decided that the best way to implement LTAD would be to change the competition events for each age group. Therefore, starting in 2010 you will see new events for the various age groups this also means that we will be having new Provincial records for certain ages.
