Provincial, National and World Records set at Dashing Through The Snow Meet
While most of us were preparing for a week of too much food and drink, Pierre Landry and Patti Blanchard were preparing to set new records. Pierre Landry established new Junior and Senior Indoor records by leaping 6.96m. That's 19cm past the 1984 records set by Rick Myles. Patti Blanchard, Masters athlete and current NB Senior record holder in 800m and 1500m, ran the 800m event in a time of 2:25.02. This time is below both the current Canadian and World W50 marks.
