Our record page serves as inspiration to athletes of all ages , and encourage them to push their limits to reach their goals.

2 New Brunswick named to the 2009 Pan American Junior Championships team
OTTAWA– Athletics Canada named today the 2009 Pan American Junior Championships team that will compete July 31 to August 2 in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago. Named to the team are two NB athletes : Barry Britt and Caleb Jones. Congratulation to both Athletes!!

Mitch Quigg breaks 35 year old Decathlon record
This past weekend at the Canadian Junior Track and Field Championships Mitch Quigg competed in the mens Decathlon and established a new provincial junior record . His score of 5295 betterd the old record of 4528 which had stood for 35 years and was held by Michel Boulay. Mitch will be competing next month in the Legion National Track and Field Championships and the Canada Summer Games.

New Brunswick relay teams collect hardware at Canadian Junior Championships
It was a successful weekend in the relay department for New Brunswick's Junior team this past weekend at the Canadian Junior Track and Field Championships. In the provincial relays New Brunswick earned three medals. One gold and two bronze.
The men's 4x100m relay team came 1st place in a time of 43.80s. The team was made up of Alex Stuart, Jason Bouchard, Alexandre Doucet, and Richary Ivy.
The women's 4x100m relay team captured the bronze medal in a time of 52.81s. The team was made up of Victoria Baba, Lindsay Gauvin, Sarah Myatt, and Sarah Taplin.
The team of Grace Annear, Lydia Frost, Robbi Daley, and Morgan Hawkes claimed a bronze medal in the women's 4x400m relay in a time of 4:05.18.
This bodes well for the upcoming Canada Summer Games in late August.

Caleb Jones is National Junior Champion, Barry Britt silver!
Charlottetown, PEI- With a javelin toss of 65m10 Caleb Jones of Saint John is the New Canadien Junior Champion. Caleb's throw was more then 7m better then the 2nd place finnisher.Caleb competes for Saint John Track Club and is coached by John Corazza.
Barry Britt from Hampton ran 14:58.44 in the 5000m to finnish 2nd. Barry is also part of Saint John Track Club and is Coached by Joel Bourgeois. Both will be competing at the Canada Games next month.

Athletics New Brunswick and the Royal Canadian Legion, New Brunswick Command are proud to annouce the New Brunswick team for the National Championships. The Royal Canadian Legion Track and Field Championships will take place August 5th - 11th in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Click here to view the team list.

New Brunswick Athletes selected to present Region 6 at Hershey North American Final
A total of 11 New Brunswick athletes have been selected to represent Region 6 at the Hershey North American Final. The Championship will be held July 30th - Aug 2nd in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This is huge accomplishment because the region is made up of the four Atlantic provinces and six states. The athletes selected are:

5 NB athletes will participate in the Para-Academy camp
Windsor, On- 5 ANB athletes will be taking part of the Para academy camp in Windsor, ON from July 8-12. These athletes will also take part of the Boiling Point Wheelchair Track Classic.

Congratulations to everyone who competeted at this weekends Atlantic Hershey Final in Dieppe. A reminder to parents and athletes not all of the track meets are done in Region 6, so selection for the Hershey North Americans can not yet be made until they are finished. Hershey North American selections should be made by July 13th.
