Apr 3 2019 - Applications for ANB Athlete Representative Now Open!
ANB is looking for its next Athlete Representative. This person plays an important role within the sport of track & field, as they represent the voice of all New Brunswick track and field and cross-country athletes. The successful candidate will be expected to attend all ANB Board conference calls (approximately 5-8 per year), AGM and SAGM during their term to express the athletes’ opinions and exercise their right to vote. The Athlete Representative is also encouraged to reach out to New-Brunswick athletes, and will be provided with an @anb.ca email account to receive feedback from athletes on different topics.
Applications will be open for a two week period (until April 17th), followed by an election window (April 20th to 26th) where all active athlete members of ANB will be invited to vote for their choice of Representative. The successful candidate will be announced at the SAGM on April 28th, and will have a seat on the ANB Board for a two year term. If no nominee is put forward, the voting members at the SAGM will select/vote and elect a qualified athlete representative in this position for a one year term.
Active member of Athletics New Brunswick.
18 years or older.
Recognized by ANB as having competed at a National or International competition within the last four years.
Eligible athletes can put or have their name, short bio and photograph put forward for the position until April 17th, 2019 at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that the short bio and photograph will be used for the the elections.
