LeBlanc Competes at NCAA Division I Championship
Michael LeBlanc ran another very fast 60m race in last night's 60m preliminaries. Despite running 6.70s, very near his personal best time of 6.67s, he finished 7th in his heat and 13th place overall in the very competitive sprint field. Congratulations on another great run and a good season.

ANB Athletes Competing Away This Weekend
Mike Leblanc competing at the IC4A Indoor Championship in Boston won his 55m heat in 6.27s, won the semi-final in 6.24s and established a new meet record of 6.21s to win the final. Currently, Mike has the 15th fastest qualifying time in the NCAA 60m event and will likely be included in the NCAA Division I Championship next weekend in Arkansas.
Jessica Belliveau in her final indoor competition of the season lowered the NB Indoor Junior 800m record for the fourth time this season. Jessica's time was 2:12.83 but was not fast enough to qualify her for further NCAA competition.
Brad Robinson competed in the both the 60m and 200m events at the Alberta Provincial Indoor Championship in Edmonton. In the 60m heats, Brad ran a 7.02s to qualify for the finals and then repeated his performance of 7.02s to finish 4th overall . In the 200m preliminaries Brad ran a personal best time of 23.00s.
At the Quebec Indoor Championships Lydia Frost of the Charlotte Track Club established NB Indoor Juvenile and Junior 400m records with her winning time of 59.97 seconds. This displaces the 21-year old record of 60.50 seconds established by Trina Penny of Saint John Track. Nadine Frost finished 3rd in the same race with a time of 60.95 seconds. Lydia and Nadine also ran the 800m event finishing 2nd and 5th with times of 2:19.49 and 2:20.24 respectively. Pierre Landry won the junior men's long jump event with a jump of 6.18m and Marc Maillet won the junior men's high jump event with his leap of 1.70m. Pierre and Marc also ran the 300m event with times of 38.28s and 41.13s respectively.
