ANB Update - November 20, 2020

Posted on Nov 20 2020

ANB members

I hope everyone is staying healthy and well.
Here, you can find the most recent FAQ's provided by the Sport & Rec Branch, as well as the most up-to-date ANB Return to Play plan (as of November 20th), which identifies Phases 1 & 2 including competition within the Atlantic Bubble.
Please see note below regarding an update on organized sport in Zone 1 (Moncton) and Zone 2 (Saint John) from the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture's Sport and Recreation Branch.
As of 12:00am Friday November 20th, Zone 1 (Moncton) is transitioning into the Orange phase. As of 12:00am Friday November 21st, Zone 2 (Saint John) is transitioning into the Orange phase.
Following Public Health guidelines comes first and foremost. Public Health guidelines take priority over ANB Guidelines.
At this time, please be advised that if you reside in Zones 1 or 2, you or your club/training group are permitted to have organized practices or training sessions in person within a single-team environment. Competition is NOT permitted in these zones. As noted below, if you reside in these areas, you are also not permitted to travel to a 'yellow-phase' zone to participate in organized sport at this time.
As we see how things progress in those areas, and throughout the pandemic across the province, we will ensure to keep our membership informed about any changes to these restrictions.
A message from the Sport & Recreation Branch:

Zone 1 (Moncton) is currently in the Orange alert level while Zone 2 (Saint-John) will move to the Orange alert level at midnight.

Significant updates have been made to this document including but not limited to:

  • changes to the Orange alert levels;
  • screening requirements for both Orange and Yellow alert levels;
  • physical distancing requirements and mask use; and
  • the requirement for approval to host tournaments by the Regional Medical Officers of Health (not the Sport and Recreation Branch)

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these difficult times. We hope that you will remain healthy and safe.
