🏅 February Athlete of the Month – Laura Fonseca 🏅

Laura Fonseca’s dedication and perseverance set her apart. A graduate student at Crandall University, she balances academics, work, and intense training—sometimes fitting in late-night runs after long days.

A newcomer to Canada, Laura has overcome unique challenges and continues to thrive. At the New Brunswick Indoor Championships, she broke the W35-39 provincial record in the 1000m (3:48.50). She followed up at the Atlantic Indoor Championships, becoming the 2nd fastest NB performer in her age group in the 800m (2:55.08) and 1500m (5:57.28), winning 3 gold medals.

Beyond competition, Laura is a supportive teammate and a true role model. Congratulations, Laura!
