Patty Blanchard; An example for us all of a true champion

A true champion never truly knows where the next hurdle will be, but they are always up for the challenge. Patty Blanchard, a running legend in both road racing and athletics, holds over 50 Provincial and National records of her own merit, has been dealt another challenge - a diagnosis of cancer.

Blanchard, of Moncton received this life-changing news in December, but has been keeping her spirits high as she undergoes treatment. She has since taken up new activities, as the cancer has temporarily sidelined her from running, however she still has her sights set on another World Masters Athletics Championship in the near future, and there's no doubt that she will get there.
