Vringer and Women's U20 Crowned 2022 National Champions

 Erin Vringer of the Saint John Reds was crowned U20 Canadian Cross Country Champion over 6km on Saturday at Mooneys Bay Park in Ottawa with a time of 21:55. Vringer, coming off an impressive freshman season at the University of Utah, took to the lead early in the race of 98 competitors and stayed out front from start to finish - finishing nearly a minute ahead of second place. This marks Vringers second Canadian Cross Country title, having been crowned U16 Champion in 2019 in Abbottsford, BC. 

 For the first time in New Brunswick history, a New Brunswick team has taken the National title in both the Club and Branch Championships. The Saint John Reds U20 women, made up of Erin Vringer, Sierra Rodrigues, Hilary Bishop, Ivy Bialowas, Georgia Bernhard, Eve Carreau and Halle May capped off an exceptional Canadian Championships with 41 points. These girls were all members of the New Brunwsick Branch team as well.

Kim Robert placed 8th in the 55-59 category in a time of 48:51

Jim Burns placed 13th in the 55-59 category in a time of 42:58

U18 Girls 4km: 

Madalyn MacKinnon placed 69th in a time of 17:04

Ella Healey finished 72nd in a time of 17:08

Felicia Mortimer finished 122nd in a time of 17:42

U18 Boys 6km:

Luke Purdy finished 145th in 22:52

Isaac MacLean finished 183rd in 23:30

U20 Women 6km:

Erin Vringer finished in gold medal position in 21:55

Sierra Rodrigues finished in 7th in 23:15

Hilary Bishop crossed the line 16th in 23:58

Ivy Bialowas finished close behind in 17th with a time of 24:01

Georgia Bernhard came across in 21st in 24:16

Eve Carreau finished 41st in 25:40 

Halle May placed 54th in 26:18

Ezabella Able was 78th in 28:51

Rylee Stanford rounded our the New Brunswick contingent in 83rd with a time of 30:36

Ashton Takhar (42nd - 28:33)

Luc Blanchette (78th - 35:41)

Senior Mens 10km:

Stephen Andersen finished 94th in 36:19
