- Introduced Canadian football to MHS in 1960 and spearheaded the organization of the provincial high school football league
- Coached the MHS Purple Knights to NB Interscholastic Athletic Association titles in football, basketball and athletics
- Head coach of the NB track & field team to the 1969 Canada Summer Games
- Head coach of Royal Canadian Legion's NB track and field camps from 1958-73
- Headed the Moncton Softball Umpires association for 15 years
- His contributions to sport have been recognized by provincial organizations for athletics, basketball and football
- Inducted into the Moncton Sports Wall of Fame in 1990
