ANB Update - November 26, 2020

Posted on Nov 26 2020

Good afternoon ANB members / Bonne après-midi les membres de l'ANB,

I hope everyone is staying healthy and well.

Here, you can find the most recent FAQ's provided by the Sport & Rec Branch (Nov. 25), as well as the most up-to-date ANB Return to Play plan (as of November 26th). Athletics New Brunswick has updated it's return to play plan (highlights in yellow), please ensure you read and understand these changes.

Please see note below regarding an update on organized sport in Zone 1 (Moncton), Zone 2 (Saint John), and Zone 3 (Fredericton) from the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture's Sport and Recreation Branch.

As of 12:00am Friday November 20th, Zone 1 (Moncton) is transitioning into the Orange alert level. As of 12:00am Friday November 21st, Zone 2 (Saint John) is transitioning into the Orange alert level. As of 12:00am Friday November 27th, Zone 3 (Fredericton) is transitioning into the Orange alert level.

Following Public Health guidelines comes first and foremost. Public Health guidelines take priority over ANB Guidelines.

At this time, please be advised that if you reside in Zones 1, 2, or 3 you or your club/training group are permitted to have organized practices or training sessions in person within a single-team environment. Competition is NOT permitted in these zones. As noted below, if you reside in these areas, you are also not permitted to travel to a 'yellow alert level' zone to participate in organized sport at this time.

As we see how things progress in those areas, and throughout the pandemic across the province, we will ensure to keep our membership informed about any changes to these restrictions.

Thanks,

Julia Loparco, Executive Director
