Important Reminder: ANB Membership Requirements

Dear Members,

Following a review of our association’s governing documents and communication with Athletics Canada

and our insurer, Athletics New Brunswick wishes to remind those in the athletics community of

conditions associated with membership.

Throughout the membership registration process on AthleticsReg, registrants are required to complete a

number of requirements based upon their membership type. These include:

 Agreeing to a waiver of liability (all members).

 Agreeing to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (all members).

 Agreeing to Athletics Canada’s Code of Ethics and Conduct Policy (all members).

 Submitting a Criminal Record Check (Coaches, Officials, and Associate members only).

 Submitting proof of completion of the Coaching Association of Canada’s Safe Sport Training

module (Coaches, Officials, and Associate members only).

If any requirement has not been completed, the membership will be marked as “Processing (Pending

Signature)” (if agreement is outstanding) or “Pending Requirements” (if submission is outstanding).

Unless all requirements have been completed and the membership is marked as “Issued”, the

membership is invalid and the individual is not considered a member in good standing of ANB.

Membership is required to be eligible for insurance coverage, records, annual awards, provincial team

selection, and more.

The registration system requires that the above agreements be completed in order to continue,

however if the registration is being completed for someone else, the system will allow the registration

to proceed, and the registered individual (or their parent/guardian, if below the legal age of majority)

will receive email notification that the agreements need to be completed. This is the most common

reason that registrations are completed and paid for but marked as “Processing (Pending Signature)”.

Individuals can check their membership status anytime using AthleticsReg’s member lookup tool.

Individuals whose membership is marked as “Processing (Pending Signature)” or “Pending

Requirements” should log into their AthleticsReg account and complete any outstanding requirements

as soon as possible.
