Team New Brunswick Well Represented at Legions

 The 2023 Royal Canadian Legion Youth Track and Field Championships wrapped up on Sunday afternoon at the University of Sherbrooke, in Quebec.

36 athletes represented Team New Brunswick and a handful of athletes competed in events as open athletes under their club banner.

Team New Brunswick had six top-8 performances and they include the following:

- Allison Wasson was 4th in the U16 girls 2000m and also placed 9th in the 1500m and 10th in the 800m.

- Frederic Louis Roy was 6th in the U16 boys javelin.

- Lexie Girouard was 8th in the U16 girls 1500m steeplechase.

In the relays, the U18 boys 4x100m made up of Nathan Rioux, Jack Mellish, Logan Smith and Mathis Fournier placed 7th.

- The U16 girls 4x100m made up of Jolene Harvey, Audree Sinclair, Cloey Daigle and Olivia Brown placed 8th.

- The U16 girls 1600m sprint medley made up of Audree Sinclair, Olivia Brown, Jolene Harvey and Allison Wasson finished 8th.

- Marie-Eve Maillet was 7th in the U18 girls javelin.

- Audree LeBlanc placed 7th in the U18 girls shot put.

New Brunswick athletes were well represented at these Championships and we look forward to the successes of this team in the future.
