Youth Cross Country Series

Youth XC Series

Youth XC Provincial Championships- TBD

Athletics NB is happy to announce the Youth XC Series to take place during the fall cross country season for the first time! Our goal is to provide more opportunities for youth ages 1-13 to take part in running events during the fall.

The Series will consist of regional or qualifying XC meets across the province, with the top 10 finishers in each race qualifying to compete in Youth XC Series Provincial Championships. Regional/Qualifying Meets can be found on the ANB calendar and include any meets hosted by schools, recreation organizations, groups, etc.

Anyone is capable of hosting a Regional Meet and we encourage schools, recreation organizations and other groups to host a meet themselves to prepare their athletes for Provincials. ANB will provide support in the form of an easy guide on running a Regional Meet, along with ribbons and invites to Provincials.

Youth XC Atlantic Championships- TBD

Athletes who participate in Provincials and place in the top 10 there, will qualify for the Youth XC Series Atlantic Championships scheduled to take place later this fall. Athletes competing in Atlantics will receive a T-Shirt.
